This week on the CouchCast we talk with Jesse Harding about Ignite Salt Lake City. On March 26th, 2009, the second Ignite event will take place. Started by O’Rielly in the Seattle area, Ignite events are popping up all over the country. This is one of the most interesting events you you will probably attend. Here is the premise of an Ignite event:
“If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights to show their answers.”
Jesse points our though, its not just for geeks. There have presentations on every possible category you can imagine. To get a good feel for what has already been presented, visit their website http://ignitesaltlake.com or follow @ignitesaltlake on twitter. You can also do a search on YouTube for ignite events and see what others around the country have presented on. You will be amazed.
Presentations are open to anyone, but you need to act quickly because slots are filling up fast. Get involved, and get your five minutes of fame.
